Lily M. White - Executive Director
Lily joined CASA of West Texas in December 2000, after working for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (TDPRS) for seven years. Her TDPRS history includes working as an investigative caseworker, conservatorship family worker and legal assistant. Lily has an Associates degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Sociology with a minor in Business Management. Ms. White is certified by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners as a Licensed Social Worker. Born and raised in West Texas, she loves Midland’s hot climate and laid-back atmosphere. Lily has four daughters, Jamie, Stacey, Courtney and Heather. Her husband, Bruce is a Microsoft Certified Professional at Basic Energy. The four-legged members of the White family are Caesar, Kitka, and Tiny Tuna Two. Tracy Fryar – Volunteer Coordinator Tracy first became involved with CASA of West Texas in June 2000, serving as a volunteer advocate for 1˝ years. At that time she was a stay at home mom with two preschool sons and was looking to contribute to her community. Her passion for the program and its mission led to an employment opportunity in November 2001 at which time she was hired as a case manager for the Howard County office. Tracy was promoted to Program Director in September 2003. She and Craig, a West Texas farmer, have been married for nineteen years.
Sara Basaldua – Case Supervisor/Assistant Program Director Sara and her husband, Roger Sr. are originally from the Texas Panhandle area. Sara previously served as a Case manager for Uniting Parents, out of Amarillo, Texas that provides case management for families of children with a chronic illness and/or disability. After moving to Midland, Texas in the spring of 2001, Sara joined CASA of West Texas as a Case Supervisor. In 2008, Sara was promoted to Assistant Program Director. She is primarily assigned to Midland County however she has also worked in Gaines, Andrews, Dawson, and Howard counties as well. She volunteers teaching 8th grade CCD classes at their parish, St. Stephen's and is a member of the Junior Women's Association. Sara and Roger Sr. have been happily married for 23 years. They have two children, Elaina and Roger Jr. and unfortunately they lost their son, Thomas, at the young age of 2˝ years old in 1993 due to medical reasons. Roger Sr. works for Samuels Explosives.
Christina Jones – Case Supervisor Christina completed her requirements for practicum with CASA before graduating from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin with a Bachelor in Social Work degree in 2006. She has been employed with CASA as a Case Supervisor since March 2007. Christina plans on getting her Masters in Social Work and wants to eventually be licensed as a counselor for abused and neglected children. She has lived in West Texas her whole life and is a proud graduate of Permian High School. Christina enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two Miniature Pinscher dogs named Mocha and Lucy that go everywhere with her.
Holly Price – Case Supervisor
Holly joined CASA of West Texas in September 2008 as a Case Supervisor in the Howard County office. She graduated from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin with a Bachelor in Psychology degree in 2006; and is currently pursuing a Master's degree at UTPB in Education Counseling-LPC with hopes of eventually being a licensed counselor. Before joining CASA, Holly worked as Club Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Odessa. She was also employed as a Stay Together Consultant with High Sky Children's Ranch in Midland, TX for 2 years. Born and raised in Howard County, Holly is excited for the opportunity to work with and for the children of this area.
Amy Hernandez – PMC Case Supervisor
Amy began working with CASA of West Texas on September 15, 2008. Amy is the PMC Case Supervisor and currently serves in Andrews, Dawson, Gaines, Howard, and Midland County. She was previously employed as a Conservatorship Worker for The Department of Family and Protective Services. Amy originally lived in the Panhandle area before moving to Odessa, Texas to attend The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. She graduated in August 2004 with a degree in Humanities. While attending college, she met her husband, Adrian and moved to Big Spring, TX. They have been happily married for 4 years.
Melissa Grimes– Case Supervisor
Melissa joined CASA of West Texas July 2010 as a Case Supervisor. She advocates for children in Midland County. Melissa graduated from Texas Tech University, where she also met her husband of 25 years, Johnny. Johnny is self-employed in the wholesale fuel business. Johnny and Melissa have two children; Hunter, 19, and Annie, 12. They live in Greenwood and are active at Fellowship Baptist Church.
Melissa's prior experience with working with children include: eleven years of teaching elementary school, three years as a Treatment Coordinator at High Sky Children's Ranch Emergency Shelter, and being a Case Manager for Hope for Tomorrow Child Placing Agency.
Jennifer Winslett – Program Operations Assistant Jennifer joined CASA of West Texas in October of 2003 as the administrative assistant. In October of 2004 she was promoted to Program Operations Assistant. She is responsible for the collection and analysis of COMET statistical data and provides assistance to each member of the program.
Jennifer is originally from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but she loves the change of pace that Midland offers. She has four children that keep her busy and has been married to her husband William for nine wonderful years. Her husband is an RN at Midland Memorial Hospital. The things Jennifer loves to do in her spare time include: spending time with her family, reading a good book, scrapbooking, cake decorating & gardening.
